Spiritual instructions in verse and prose [manuscript], ca. late 17th/early 18th century.

Volume consists of reworkings of biblical passages in the Non-Conformist (Methodist) tradition. Contents fall into two distinct categories: the first section consists of spiritual instruction with each instruction beginning with a quotation from a hymn or poem, followed by prose commentary; the latter part of the manuscript is devoted to mystical poems and hymns. Texts used in this compilation include those of John Wesley, Elizabeth Singer Rowe, Joseph Addison, and Thomas Parnell, among others, although some pieces seem to be original.
